Retreat Programming: 

YOGA: Asana, Mindfulness, Sangha.

  • Enjoy 6 total 75/90 minute yoga classes and wellness workshops.

    • A blend of yoga offerings will be available, such as active sunrise vinyasa, deep rest (yin yoga), asana labs (arm balances; binds) and more.

  • Mindfulness will be built into the entire experience - allowing you to nourish the part of you that has been begging for you to exist in the moment, go deeper internally, and cut through noise and distractions that cloud our every day life.

    • Unplug, unwind, go deeper into your yoga practice and learn how to take yoga off the mat and with you into the world.

    • Connect with the beautiful nature on the grounds of Wild Sugar Homestead or in the town of Newbury, VT and beyond.

  • Meet like-minded yogis from different walks of life, experiences, and backgrounds.

    • Come alone and make lasting friendships, or bring your friends/family and deepen your bonds during this dedicated time together in sangha.

LIFTED YOGA.

  • For the lifted yogis who are looking to deepen their yoga with the magic of plant-based medicine.

    • This unique and optional workshop during the weekend will take retreat goers through one of Rachel’s signature and highly beloved offerings: Balsamic Moon Lifted Yoga

    • Consumption friendly, education focused, and honoring yogas roots - retreat goers will be guided through a 90 minute workshop methodically designed to help students explore and experience the cannabis and yoga connection and deepen their knowledge of cannabis yoga history and modern day activism.

UNPLUG & UNWIND.

  • Forget washing the dishes or worrying over what’s on the menu - This retreat will include meal options that will provide nourishing and delicious fuel for the retreat weekend.

  • Balsamic Moon Yoga - Founder

    Rachel Bacon (she/her) is a E-200hr RYT and public health professional (MPH) who lives for all things yoga, wellness, and wholehearted living. She’s led workshops, co-hosted retreats, and taught hundreds of classes that blend mindful movement with real-life integration. Rachel inspires students with methodically designed flows, space to explore pranayama and meditation, detailed cuing, and a focus on alignment and spiritual growth. Her motto, “Strength in stillness; grace while flowing,” reflects her style.

    She’s taught at CorePower Yoga, trained in Baptiste Power and Hot Power lineages, and is certified in prenatal yoga (Carling Harps; Commune Yoga) and Sculpt (Soul City Yoga). Rachel’s passion, advocacy, and research in the cannabis space has built a following for her unique Lifted Yoga workshops and fundraisers - busting stigma and raising awareness for plant medicine. In addition to her expertise in yoga, Rachel brings a professional background in large-scale event management for global audiences.

    She will leverage these skills to create a retreat experience that is thoughtfully planned, fulfilling, and logistically seamless for all attendees.

Payment Details & Retreat Accommodations

The all-in price for the retreat includes:

  • 6 total 75/90 minute yoga classes + wellness workshops or asana labs

  • 1 optional 90 minute signature Lifted Yoga workshop - with cannabis gifts included!

  • 3 nights stay in the beautiful Wild Sugar Homestead accommodations

  • 3 prepared dinners + 3 breakfast buffets + 2 DIY style food options for lunches

Booking a Room + Retreat Deposit Info:

  1. Retreat deposit amounts vary by room type and are due at the time of booking to fully register.

  2. You’ll be asked to confirm how many people are going to be booking the room during check-out.

    • You may adjust the number of people sharing the room (add on, or remove people) any time before March 15th (see full payment section for more details). Email Rachel directly if you need to adjust the room occupancy.

  3. When paying online: Paypal method accepted. The check-out price reflects only the deposit amount! It does not reflect the total amount for the retreat experience (see full payment section for more details).

  4. After check-out: You will receive an email confirmation within 24 hrs from retreat host, Rachel (info@balsamicmoonyoga.com) containing confirmed remaining amount owed and room type booked.

Full payment is due two months before the retreat date (August 1, 2026). The total owed is for the price of the booking minus deposit already paid at registration.

  • Remaining retreat fees due can be paid by invoice (paid via website) - or zelle/paypal/venmo direct to retreat host.

  • For shared rooms: The price on August 1st will be based on the number of people registered for that room. You are free to drop/remove people from your booking through August 1; you may add people up to August 1st fee due date (pending space availability); your rate will total room rate will be adjusted accordingly. After August 2026, you’ll be responsible for the full room cost based on the number of people registered, regardless of how many actually attend the retreat.

Refund policy:

  • Cancellation prior to July 1, 2026: 25% refund of all amounts paid, excluding the non-refundable deposit

  • Cancellation on or after August 1, 2026: no refund

  • In the event of host event cancellation: 100% refund of deposit / 100% of retreat amount paid returned - or - credit to a future retreat

FAQs

  • Yoga and wellness retreats are a brave space to step away to help you step back into yourself. Some retreat goers go alone and make new friends. Some retreat goers bring a friend/family member and stay together.

    Don’t be stressed or intimidated - think of it as an educational adults only sleepaway camp geared towards rest, meditation, asana, and fun! You’ll fit right in, promise!

  • YES! This retreat is designed with all-levels yoga asana classes and workshops. Rachel will have props available (blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets) and will demonstrate multiple asana (pose) variations and options for retreat goers.

  • If you have a specific physical condition you would like to flag to the retreat host, Rachel, in advance - please contact her directly.

    As a neurodiverse individual, Rachel completely understands when other neurodiverse individuals may require specific accommodations. Please contact Rachel directly if you would like to flag any specific requests for the retreat (ex: a space for sensory decompression; quiet hours enforced etc) to have a discussion whether your accommodations request can be honored within capabilities and reason.

    For those who are pregnant, Rachel is certified in Prenatal yoga! Join us if you’re cleared by your medical professional!

  • YES. Your retreat host, Rachel, is queer herself. This retreat environment is pro-Trans, pro-queer, pro-all identities welcomed. Bigots need not attend. Intentionally hostile behavior between retreat goers will not be tolerated.

  • The retreat site is 2.5 to 3 hrs from Boston by car.

    For retreat goers coming from a common area (such as the Greater Boston area) - optional retreat carpooling will be facilitated by the retreat host in advance of the event. Availability is dependent on volunteers - so carpooling isn’t guaranteed. Cost-sharing for gas may apply.

    There is an Amtrak station near White River Junction: ~ 35–45 miles by road, about 40–50 minutes driving. Upon request, individuals can request the potential for a pick-up at the Amtrak site by the retreat host- but additional fees will apply. We recommend you consider renting a car from the Amtrak site if desired.

  • Retreat deposits are non-refundable, and refund-eligible amounts vary depending on the accommodation that is booked.

    • Early Bird cancellation before January 31, 2026: 50% refund of all amounts paid, excluding the non-refundable deposit;

    • Cancellation prior to March 1, 2026: 25% refund of all amounts paid, excluding the non-refundable deposit

    • Cancellation on or after March 1, 2026: no refund

    • 100% refund of deposit / 100% of retreat amount paid returned - or - credit to a future retreat - in the event of host event cancellation
